DESCRIPTION:.الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي بِنِعْمَتِهِ تَتِمُ ّالصَّالِحَاتُ  \n\n(Alhamdulillahi lladhee bini’amathihi thathimma sswaalihaath)\nAll Praise is to Allaah Who by His blessings all good things are perfected\n\n\nThe Annual Distribution of Sadaqa in the month of Ramadan\, took place as planned on Sunday\, 17th March before Duhr in the JavaLane Masjid premises. The residents in this Muslim mahalla received Rice\, Cash and dates. The Religious and Sadaqa Projects Branch of WASLAM lead by Sdri Fazina Jamdeen did a wonderful job of executing the distribution. May the blessings be showered upon the sole sponsor of the day’s sadaqa Mr Hanif Yusoof and Mrs Shehnaz Yusoof\, in memory of their late daughter Sabrina. May the merits of this generous offering reach the joy of Allah SWT and may he grant dear Sabrina eternal supreme bliss of Jannatul Firdhouze.\nThe event was coordinated by Sandra Sourjah – president WASLAM.

DESCRIPTION:“Building Bridges & Breaking Barriers” \nAn interactive round table discussion – Breaking Barriers and Building Bridges to contribute towards our vision of the development of future generations\, proactive in attending to the needs to empower women of our community and the nation at large\, was held at the International Center for Ethnic Studies (ICES) on Sunday 9th February\, 2020. \nOur main focus is to be the unified voice and platform for the women of our community. \nOver 35 women invitees from all ethnic groups participated in this interactive discussion. Living in a multi-ethnic population\, we need to build bridges\, break down barriers and mend fences so that we can maintain peace and harmony in our mother land.  As women who are the care-takers of the nation\, we will do whatever it takes to make our vision possible.  At the end of the current COVID19 crisis\, we hope to continue meetings of this nature on a regular basis .
